Edge’s AEW in-ring debut against former WWE Superstar confirmed

The wrestling world shook to its core today when former WWE Superstar Adam Copeland, better known as Edge, made his debut on All Elite Wrestling’s WrestleDream. Edge’s contract with World Wrestling Entertainment officially ended on September 30th, 2023. The Rated R Superstar, without wasting any time, has moved to the Jacksonville-based promotion. Fans got a double treat today after AEW made the official announcement of Edge’s in-ring debut,
Following the WreslteDream Live event, Tony Khan revealed Edge’s future at AEW in a post-show interview. As per the request of Edge, the 49-year-old will make his in-ring debut against Luchasaurus.
Christian Cage retained his TNT Championship against Darby Allin in a two-out-of-three-falls match. After the match, Nick Wayne betrayed Allin and joined Cage and Luchasaurus. As Cage prepared to attack Sting with a chair, Edge made a stunning debut. Initially appearing to align with Cage, Edge ultimately attacked Wayne with a chair, ending their brief alliance.
This faceoff has led to Adam Copeland requesting a match against Luchasaurus. The match will take place on the October 10th edition of Dynamite in Kansas City. It was also confirmed that Edge has officially signed with AEW and will work as a full-time talent for the company. Fans are eager to see the showdown between Edge and Christian, given the history between the two.
Edge revealed his AEW debut to his wife in an epic way
Edge and his wife, Beth Phoenix, are a celebrated duo in the wrestling community. The two share a wonderful bond, even on social media. The Glamazon often shares hilarious memes and notes by the Rated R Superstar on X. These posts show how much fun the duo has together.
Following her husband’s hottest debut on AEW in a recent post on X, Beth shared a photo of a note from Edge with the caption “Guys.” The note was magnetically placed on the door of the refrigerator. The note read, ” B-heading to wAlk the dog bE back in a feW – A.” The founder of Judgment Day, with his subtle capitalization, left a message to Beth about his AEW debut.
Fans have shared some hilarious reactions to this note on X. On one side, fans are really happy to see the Ultimate Opportunist in AEW. Fans believe this to be the last run of the Hall of Famer. They are happy to know that Edge will complete his career with his best friend, Christian, by his side.
