Trump was recently charged and arrested for “Election Interference“. As a result, his mugshots were released online. However, Donald Trump took advantage of the situation by posting a photo on X.
Previously, he X, then Twitter, banned him from the platform during the 2020 Presidential Elections. Finally, Elon Musk reinstated his account after the latter acquired the company. Donald Trump’s post went viral quickly, garnering almost 200 million views. Afterward, Musk, the owner of X, commented on the post to reveal an impressive statistic.
“Approximately 10 million views per hour of this image,” wrote the billionaire, who is a supporter of the Republican Party. Despite the charges, Donald Trump is one of the leading candidates for next year’s elections. Moreover, he will look to become a two-time President of the United States. Last time, Trump lost his title to Joe Biden after the criticized handling of the COVID pandemic.
The 77-year-old has received endorsements from several well-established companies, including WWE. Vince McMahon reportedly paid around $5 million in unrecorded expenses to Donald Trump’s foundation in 2007 and 2009. The latter supported the wrestling company on different occasions, which led to his Hall Of Fame induction in 2013.
Relationship between WWE and Donald Trump
Donald Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013 under the “celebrity wing“. Fans have always wondered about the former US President’s contributions to the promotion. First, it started at WrestleMania IV, where Trump established his friendship with Vince McMahon. The event took place at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Since then, he has made sporadic appearances on WWE television, while Vince and Linda McMahon were top donors to his foundation from 2004 to 2014. At WrestleMania 23, both men were part of the “Battle Of The Billionares” match. As a result of the stipulation, Vince shaved his head due to Bobby Lashley defeating Umaga.
The presence of the 77-year-old helped that year’s event break the record for the highest buy rate at the time. In 2016, when Donald Trump contested the elections, rumors circulated that the promotion had issued a gag order to prevent any employee from speaking against him.
