For months, Eric Bischoff kept criticizing All Elite Wrestling for its banal storylines. In fact, he even called out Tony Khan on several occasions for his anachronistic approach towards his company. But, in a moment of sighing, Bischoff has something to praise about the Jacksonville-based promotion. The WWE veteran regarded the commentary pair of AEW Collision as the single biggest improvement over the last decade.

Speaking on his “83 weeks” podcast, the former WCW president hailed Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly. Applauding them for their blockbuster debut, Eric claimed that they’re only going to get better from here. Sadly, Kelly would not be continuing on with AEW Collision commentary to fulfill his foremost duties in NJPW. It remains to be seen when he returns to the company. The WWE veteran said that doing color commentary is an art form and it can add so much into a show’s natural presentation.

Eric Bischoff often takes shots at AEW and suggests ways to improve their product. This time, the WWE Veteran made some positive comments and praised it, leaving fans in surprise. “I thought it was the freshest, most significant improvement, in any one element of an overall production that I’ve seen in probably 10 years. It was that good. Look, this is their first time out,” he said.

The premiere episode of AEW Collision marked the long awaited return of CM Punk. He received a massive reaction upon his arrival at the United Center in Chicago. He had a pair of boots laced around his neck while walking down that aisle. He grabbed the microphone, removed the AEW branding, and started doing what he does best.

In a 10-minute promo, Punk took several shots at The Elite. He dropped the “counterfeit Bucks” line in contrast to The Young Bucks’ originality. The former WWE star even apologized to all the people he disgruntled backstage, seemingly mocking Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

He felt sorry for them because the only people who’re more soft than The Elite are the wrestlers they like. To cap off his address, he untangled those shoes hanging around his abdomen. Phil declared that he’s not going to step away from this business until he finds a suitable pair of legs that can fit in those shoes.
