The Golden Globes 2024 happened this Sunday and lauded the movies that were a sensation in 2023. While the event was successful in its own way, a few moments from the ceremony broke the internet. WWE’s Chelsea Green was one of those stars who took a page from that event and described her ongoing situation on Monday Night Raw, stating her departure from the promotion.

Green took to X to post pictures of her entrance on the January 8, 2024, episode of Raw. Alongside her tag team partner, Piper Niven, she made her way to the ring for a title match. However, she added a spooky caption to state that she would be leaving if she did not win today. The statement absolutely made sense as the duo came back to fight for their title, which they lost two weeks ago on Raw.

However, the statement is not to be taken seriously as a GIF posted later stated that it was only meant to mention the popular meme from the Golden Globes. Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for Best Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture for her role in No Hard Feelings. When the time came for her nominee screen time, she hilariously stated about leaving if she did not win the award.

Chelsea and Piper did not win the rematch for the Women’s Tag Team Championship and were disheartened again. The current champs, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, are the talents that were drafted to Raw last year from NXT. Their victory on the December 18, 2023, episode of Raw made history as they became the first duo to win both the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were looking forward to making their New Year, Happy just a week into 2024. A rematch for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was scheduled on the recent episode of Raw. But the challengers lacked in their job, keeping the two KCs as the reigning champions.

Green who was disappointed by her loss, took to X and stated that she would be leaving if it was for the victory. The statement was a meme reference from Golden Globes 2024, and hence was not to be taken seriously. But WWE Universe stated their opinions in the comments and advised not to do so.

Chelsea had won the tag team championship previously with Sonya Deville, but then the latter suffered an injury. Piper was brought into her place and was given the chance to reign as the champion, keeping Green intact for the title. But the reign finally ended in December 2023.
