Mustafa Ali has been in WWE for years now. However, he has always been unlucky when it comes to winning championships. Since debuting in WWE in 2016, Ali has not won a single title in the company. The 37-year-old recently shared a picture of himself displaying an incredible physique. The picture has fans wondering exactly why Ali has not won a championship yet.

The post was captioned, “I WILL become a champion,” as Ali posed in a gym. He is known to be a decent worker in the ring and can have good matches with everyone. Mustafa Ali has wrestled in multiple championship matches in his career. However, he has failed every single time to be victorious and win a championship. His latest title match came at the Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, where he battled Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.

Mustafa Ali debuted in WWE as a member of the Cruiserweight division. He was known to have great matches on 205 Live with other Cruiserweight wrestlers. After coming onto the main roster, Ali was lost in the shuffle and would not be a part of any solid storyline. In 2020, he was revealed as the leader of the faction called Retribution. However, the group failed to create any impact, as it was scrapped in just a few weeks.

The 37-year-old was again left to wrestle in random matches on Raw or SmackDown. Ever since, Mustafa Ali has been having short matches with random opponents, often losing a lot in the process. Despite showing his incredible in-ring abilities, WWE never put him in a good storyline or feud. The company failed to harness his full potential.

While working in the independent circuit, the former 205 Live superstar has been a World Champion several times. Therefore, fans think it is time for him to also get a title in WWE.

Recently, Mustafa Ali made a surprise appearance on NXT in May 2023. He also made a few more returns to the Black and Gold brand and helped North American Champion Wes Lee in his feud against Joe Gacy. It is currently unclear in what direction Ali is going. Fans will have to wait and see if the former Cruiserweight has a run in NXT or if he returns to the main roster.
