“I tell them to go”- Finn Balor reveals that he advices some WWE wrestlers to look for other opportunities
Finn Balor in WWE
Finn Balor has been not at his best this year as he lost the United States Championship to Theory and has not been in the major Championship circuit. Finn Balor last fought for the WWE Universal championship in September 2021 at the Extreme Rules against Roman Reigns but was defeated. Later that year Balor participated in the King of the Ring tournament but was defeated by Xavier Woods in the finals at the Crown Jewel. This year he defeated Damien Priest to win the United States Championship.
In June, Finn Balor was revealed to be the new member of the Judgment Day by Edge but The Rated R Superstar was attacked by Balor and Priest and thrown out of the faction. Since then, he has been a part of the Judgment Day and both Finn and Damien have begun a feud with the Mysterios. Finn Balor and Damien Priest were defeated by the Mysterios at the SummerSlam, after a returning Edge attacked both Priest and Balor.
Finn Balor is keen on bringing back the Demon Character
Finn Balor has expressed a desire for more creative control over his demon image. Finn Balor stated on the Cheap Heat Podcast that if he had total control over the character, he would play it very differently. He stated that the corporation has many various layers of management and departments that need be kept satisfied, and that one loses the creative license, which one has when they are independent. Finn Balor remarked that as a perfectionist, he would want to have more influence over the persona he built, but he knows the constraints of working for a corporation like WWE.
Finn Balor recently went on the Cheap Heat Podcast and discussed wrestlers becoming trapped in the WWE bubble and being unable to pursue other possibilities. Finn stated that he advises wrestlers to look for other options outside of the WWE cocoon. Balor stated that there is a lot of room for wrestling outside of WWE and that anyone who does not want to be a part of the organization should quit. Balor stated that he is here because he wants to work for WWE.
“Yeah, for sure, and I tell them to go,” Balor said. “There’s a whole other world; I tell them to go. Sometimes we get caught up in the bubble that’s WWE, and there’s a whole world of wrestling outside there. If someone doesn’t want to be here, they should go. If you don’t want to work in WWE, don’t be here. For me, I want to be to here, so that’s why I’m here.”
This week on RAW Edge said in a promo that he wants to end the Judgement Day and interfered in a match.
