Dragon Lee names Top WWE Superstar who reached out to him for coming on-board

Who in the world would’ve thought that moments after capturing the AAA Tag-titles, Dragon Lee will announce his WWE signing. Pro-Wrestling can get this unpredictable at times, and the move was well-received among the wrestling community. One of the best Mexican names in that squared circle presently, is now headed to WWE.
The unprecedented arrival of the 27-year-old Lee has opened a gateway for the passage of many such talents. As per the latest report from WrestleVotes, Dragon Lee’s upcoming WWE future can bring in a lot more “standout” talents to the company. Triple H and team is hoping to bring in some more superstars of such high caliber in early 2023.
Speaking of Triple H, he just never fails to welcome a rising superstar with all due respect. Shortly after Lee confirmed the news, the WWE Chief Content Officer laid out a tweet jotting down the various accolades of the 165 pounder from Mexico.
But, do you know that one of WWE’s top names first approached the former for a potential career in WWE? In an astonishing revelation, Lee revealed that Finn Balor was the one who did the rightful, in a recent chat with ESPN. According to the Mexican Superstar, “[Finn Balor] told me, ‘Would you like to be in WWE?’” Lee said with a laugh. “I said, ‘Yeah, sure. Why not?’ … It was something special for me.”

Will we ever witness Dragon Lee vs. Finn Balor in WWE?
As we know, the WWE’s latest signee will commence his career with his newest promotion from January. He’s coming to NXT where a plethora of elite-class superstars are already waiting for him. Names like Carmelo Hayes, Grayson Waller, Axiom and more can be the perfect opponents for Lee to work with.
In fact, if he progresses exponentially, there’s a brighter chance that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s 2014 Rookie of the Year gets on the main-roster real soon. To a point, his match with Finn Balor can be done at any given time. However, the new commer first needs to settle himself down in the new territory.

Dragon Lee has gained enough name in the domain of tag-team wrestling. Also, he’s been a part of instant classics with Will Ospreay and Jeff Cobb, from his days in Ring of Honor. Having in-ring IQ equivalent to Dragon is pretty scarcely found, hence WWE needs to make the most use of it.
