The inclusion of Finn Balor in The Judgment Day saw him become a dominant force in WWE. But Balor was still unable to capture the gold despite the backing from his stablemates. But at Payback 2023, Finn got out of his struggles and won the Undisputed Tag Team Titles alongside Damian Priest. With this, Balor is now a Grand Slam Champion, an accolade that even John Cena has not attained in his two-decade career.
The former Universal Champion reacted for the first time after his win and wrote about his achievement. Finn Balor took to Instagram to post a picture of him holding the Undisputed Tag Team Championships on both shoulders. He wrote the caption simply stating, “GRAND SLAM FINN” to denote his entry into the club.
The fourth match of Payback saw the tag team match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. The Judgment Day. Balor and Priest were the only members of the faction who lacked championships. However, PPG Paints Arena was the place that was destined to see The Judgment Day members with all gold and walk out with pride.
Finn Balor debuted on the main roster and won the inaugural Universal Championship in 2016. He went on to win the Intercontinental Championship twice in 2019. The Prince still operated at his level to gain the world title but failed on multiple occasions. 2022 then saw him win the United States Championship for the first time against Damian Priest.
Will the Undisputed Tag Team Championship make its way to Superstar Spectacle?
The poster for Payback 2023 already hinted that the night was for Judgment Day. Damian Priest and Finn Balor captured the Undisputed Tag Team Championship at the spectacular event. WWE will be traveling to India next week, and fans have been speculating about the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.
WWE’s live show in India, Superstar Spectacle, will happen next week on September 8. A match was advertised earlier in which Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were scheduled to defend their titles against Indus Sher. However, Payback has changed the course completely, as Zayn and Owens lost their titles.
Indus Sher was to take on the team of Zayn and Owens for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles. However, Judgment Day’s win has raised questions about their availability in India. WWE could book the same match, making it a non-title bout. On the other hand, the newly crowned champions could also replace Zayn and Owens against the Indus Sher.
