Former WWE Champion CM Punk continues to be one of the most polarizing figures in wrestling. The Second City Saint has had mixed reactions since his return to AEW after Brawl Out last year. However, he continues to be popular in terms of sales and merchandise for AEW, according to the latest reports.

According to the report released by Wrestlenomics, CM Punk merchandise sold more than anyone else in AEW. Adam Cole, MJF, The Elite, and others followed CM Punk. Despite the altercations reported by All In, Punk continues to be one of the top stars for AEW, and his impact on the company has been undeniable. Therefore, CM Punk continues to be an important aspect of AEW’s success in the past two years.

The latest developments in the CM Punk-Jack Perry altercation reveal interesting updates. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that a source said that both Jack Perry and CM Punk were at fault in the drama. However, this motivated the other superstars backstage to buckle up and put on a great show. As the altercation happened before the show went on-air, all superstars had yet to have their matches in front of over 81,000 fans.

However, it turned out that Samoa Joe rose to the occasion and took on the role of locker room leader. He broke up the fight between Punk and Perry and was responsible for diffusing the situation. Other reports were also suggesting that Punk blasted out on Tony Khan backstage, threatening to quit after all the fighting.

According to reports, AEW has suspended both wrestlers until the completion of the investigation. Therefore, it is too soon to comment on anything, and fans will have to wait for the verdict from AEW. However, Tony Khan has assured the fans that he will take necessary action.
