Mickie James is keen on proving that age is just a number. At 43, she’s still blazing a trail and sweating her body in that squared circle. Few days ago, she once again aced the bar and became the new Impact Knockouts World Champion. At Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view, she defeated Jordynne Grace in a Career vs. Title bout to capture the gold.

Once James picked up that historic feat, numerous well-wishes started to pour in from the wrestling community. However, the most notable of them being TNA’s former president, Dixie Carter. Few hours ago on Twitter, Carter posted an emotional congratulatory note for Mickie James. The former highlighted Alexa Bliss’ former ally’s love for this business. Also, Dixie Carter shed some light on the heartwarming moment between James and her son Donovan, who celebrated with her mother in the ring.

Well, it didn’t took long for Mickie to actually quote a pleasing reply to her ex-boss. James first of all thanked Carter for her kind words and became reminiscent about the past where Carter offered her to join TNA in 2010. Due to this, the Virginia native was able to actually identify and reinvent herself. Plus, her Hardcore Country character is the by-product of that golden opportunity James received, 13 years ago.

Besides Impact Wrestling, Mickie had quite a successful career in WWE. She won the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 22 against Trish Stratus. Overall, she’s a 5-time Women’s Champion in WWE, in addition to being a 1-time Divas Champion. For what it’s worth, James is counted amongst one of the most prolific performers in history.

During her second run with the Stamford-based promotion, James collected appreciation for her impeccable work as an on-screen pairing with Alexa Bliss. For months, the Monday nights were graced by the inevitable presence of these ladies. Most recently, she appeared in last year’s 30-Woman Royal Rumble match.

In a scenario that’s hard to believe, WWE actually allowed Mickie James to come in with that Impact Knockouts Championship, tied around her waist. Also on commentary, Jimmy Smith acknowledged the same fact. Well, in some positive news, she’s highly rumored for her second consecutive Rumble match appearance this year too.
