Back in the day, the heel heat WWE superstars used to attract was on an unfathomable level. With changing times and the advent of social media, things slowly changed. Only a handful of superstars, like Dominik Mysterio, manage to garner such heat. Another superstar who seems to be nearing Mysterio’s level of heel heat is Grayson Waller. The SmackDown superstar recently broke his silence after almost being attacked by a fan.
Earlier this week, WWE held a Holiday Tour live event in Delaware, Newark. An irate fan jumped the ringside barricade in an effort to assault the Australian superstar after the latter’s tag-team bout. He was, however, intercepted by WWE security and ejected from the venue just in time. The 33-year-old has finally broken his silence over the incident on social media.
The SmackDown superstar took to his X and retweeted a video clip from the live event, in which the fan hopped the rails. Ridiculing the frenzied fan’s failed attempt to attack him, Waller stated that this is what happens when “an idiot American” messes with an Aussie.

Some of the fans hilariously quipped that the person who tried to harm Grayson Waller could be a Swiftie. The Aussie Icon was engaged in a heated one-sided beef with Taylor Swift a couple of weeks ago. Moreover, the tandem of Waller and Theory faced Odessey Jones and Cameron Grimes in the Newark house show.
WWE reportedly has major creative plans for Grayson Waller and Austin Theory
The notorious duo of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory was thrown together randomly a couple of months ago. The two men have no previous history together, other than the fact that they are both brash heels. WWE nevertheless impetuously formed a heel team comprising both superstars. Moreover, a recent report sheds light on the future creative plans for Waller and Theory.
According to WrestleVotes on X, the SmackDown superstars have been receiving tremendous praise from the WWE higher-ups. A WWE source in the creative department said that the tag team of Waller and Theory was originally a short-term plan. However, plans have now changed, per the same source.
Furthermore, the belief is that the cocky duo may benefit from their mutual partnership in the upcoming weeks. The creatives have major plans for the two men through the WrestleMania season. As a result, the odds are high for the two superstars to get significant spots in the coming months. As of yet, Grayson and Austin are feuding with The Prizefighter Kevin Owens.
