WWE has a massive roster, and not every superstar gets to be on board for WrestleMania. Only some get to regularly make it to the pop-culture extravaganza. However, recently, some reports surfaced about WWE potentially pulling two big names out of ‘Mania 40. The reported names were SmackDown Superstars Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.

The superstar from Down Under took to X to enlighten the WWE Universe about the ongoing fiasco. Waller replied to his partner’s post, claiming that the self-proclaimed A-Town Down Under is the best tag team in the world. More importantly, the 34-year-old referenced WON as the source of this statement. Therefore, he not only took a shot at Dave Meltzer but also debunked the rumors of them missing out.

Theory and Waller defeated The Street Profits on SmackDown this week to secure their ‘Mania spot. The match was going in Profits’ favor when Karrion Kross crashed Bobby Lashley‘s party before it began in the buildup to a possible showdown at the Showcase of the Immortals. This caused a momentary distraction for the two menaces to pick up the victory. Therefore, the snarky heels succeeded in another step to capture the tag titles at WrestleMania.

Austin Theory‘s push to the moon got abruptly halted soon after ‘Mania. The shocking turnover can be explained by WWE’s rash booking for their future star. Last year, the 26-year-old Superstar defeated WWE legend John Cena to retain his US title, only to drop it to WWE HOF’er Rey Mysterio. Although WWE is pushing him by aligning him with Waller, The Unproven One still seems to be lost in the mix.

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory vs. New Catch Republic set for go-home SmackDown

The team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory will take on New Catch Republic on SmackDown this week. Both teams will participate in the six-pack ladder match to challenge The Judgment Day‘s Undisputed Tag Team Championships. However, it has not been determined on which night the big match goes down.

Both teams will get a huge warm-up before the big match 1 or 2 days later. Moreover, with WWE announcing the clash of NCR vs. Waller and Theory, it clears the air surrounding their potential pullout from the Show of Shows. The match will be entertaining, with both teams looking to head into the Grandest Stage of Them All with more momentum.

The Aussie Superstar will have his debut ‘Mania match this year. As already mentioned, Theory got to share the ring with the 16-time WWE Champion last year and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Pat McAfee the prior year. On the other hand, both Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne will also have their debut matches on the big stage.
