Current SmackDown Superstar takes sarcastic dig at Edge after he left WWE and made his AEW debut
Grayson Waller has been outspoken about Edge leaving WWE and debuting in AEW, taking the credit for himself.

“You think you know me!” were the exact words that erupted the cheers out of Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. The arrival of Adam Copeland in AEW happened perfectly with a confrontation with his best friend, Christian Cage, at AEW WrestleDream. This shift from Edge to Copeland happened just a few months after he was part of The Aussie Icon, Grayson Waller‘s talk show. Thus, the Arrogant Aussie took the credit for it and lauded himself on X.
Waller took on X and wrote, “You’re welcome for the rub on the way out, kid,” and kept himself at a greater level. With this writing, he took the WWE Universe back to the time when he mainly insulted and later wrestled Edge at Madison Square Garden. He seems to have called it a rub from his side, as it was The Rated R Superstar’s second-last match on SmackDown. The ultimate opportunist did emerge victorious, but the Arrogant Aussie seems to ignore that part of it.
Grayson has been a menace to many stars on the roster due to his outspoken nature. At different times, he got under the skin of John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and other legends just to establish himself on Friday nights. His partnership with the equally disrespectful Austin Theory has been building as the ultimate hateful heel duo.
On the other hand, edge-turned-Adam would potentially have a delightful time in AEW. After just a few hours of being in the company, he will wrestle Luchasaurus on the October 10 episode of Dynamite. His eyes seem to be on Christian Cage (maybe the TNT title) and eliminating his partners earlier in the process.
Grayson Waller compares his partnership with Austin Theory to the Philadelphia Eagles
The heel duo of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller has been quite impressive on SmackDown. The circumstances put these similar heels in the picture, and look for Waller’s growth in the process. With their fearless statements and heel tactical matches, A Town Down Under has been undefeated on the blue brand so far.
Grayson brought up this short-lived achievement on X. In the post, he asked what the Philadelphia Eagles and their heel duo have in common. The question was asked to get the answer in his favor, stating that they were undefeated. Compared to the Eagles, who won that Sunday against the Washington Commanders.
Austin Theory responded to the situation by posting a GIF of LaVar Ball saying, “I’m undefeated. Never lost!” This suggests his confidence in his dominant run with Gargano. The storyline with the heel duo may continue until a strong babyface team challenges them. Further episodes of SmackDown will likely provide clarity on their future direction.
