Gunther has received a future WrestleMania challenge [via- WWE]

Gunther once again proved why he’s a class act. As cruel as he gets in the ring, he’s completely different in real life. Recently, WWE’s official TikTok account released a wholesome video showing the other side of the reigning Intercontinental Champion. In the 18-second clip, the Austrian is seen circling around a couple of kids. And they were a bit scared of going to meet him.

However, Gunther displayed class and eased them down. The Ring General bowed down and asked whether they’d like to click a photograph with him. Seeing the jovial nature of the 36-year-old, those kids eventually grew comfortable and posed with the Imperium leader. Needless to say, this moment was an embodiment of how great a human being Gunther is.

Within no time, the former NXT UK Champion has established himself on the main-roster. Initially, Vince McMahon had plans to bury him within two months of his call-up. However, it could not happen as Triple H assumed creative control. Since then, the WWE CCO has ensured to present Gunther as one of the most dominant entities on the current roster.

The Ring General is just a few days away from inscripting his name in the history books. Currently at 434 days as the Intercontinental Champion, he’s set to surpass The Honky Tonk Man‘s record. It was the one he set during the 1990s, when the Hall of Famer kept the gold around his waist for 453 days However, he must know there’s a new bully in the town, and he’s just started to take everyone by storm.

Gunther’s record-setting title reign might be in jeopardy

Over the past, numerous superstars have tried to take that title off Gunther. However, none have succeeded in doing that. Gunther, who’s been the epitome of a true European beast, doesn’t gets intimidated by size, speed, or even agility. His arsenal runs deep, and no one’s been able to penetrate his codes.

However, this Monday on RAW, he’ll face Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship. Just days before he breaks the all-time record, the Ring General has to overcome a different challenge. Chad is the same guy who gained a psychological advantage over Gunther a few weeks ago when he beat the Austrian in a 5-minute challenge.

Although he didn’t get pinned, judging by the rule book, it was more of a loss for Gunther. It would be interesting to see whether Gable would be able to upset the champ in Quebec this week on Monday Night Raw.
