Since arriving on the main roster, Gunther has become a formidable force of nature to be dealt with. On this week’s Raw, Gunther fought The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio in a non-title match. Although Mysterio tried to use his dirty shenanigans, he came up short to defeat The Ring General. Recently, Gunther took to X to send an appreciation message to DomDom.

The Intercontinental Champion uploaded a video on X and wrote “good effort” praising “Dirty” Dom’s work. The video in the post featured highlights from his match with him. It showcased how the 36-year-old Superstar brutally chopped Mysterio down to size. Also, the clever Champion only included the highlights of the video where he could be seen attacking Dominik.

At the end of the video, Gunther raised his coveted Title after asserting dominance in the match. Despite trying his dirty tricks and having JD McDonagh in the ringside, this match proved to tough one for Mysterio.

After the bout he was seen being attended by doctors backstage. The Judgement Day members would later stand beside him while claiming they will take care of Imperium.

Before the match, Gunther was not flanked by his crewman Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. They were scheduled to fight The Judgment Day’s Undisputed Tag Team Champions, Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Preist demanded JD to take care of the leader of the Imperium while he and Balor wrestled his teammates in a tag team match.

Multiple WWE Superstars eyeing Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship

Gunther claims to have enhanced the prestige of the Intercontinental Title and it seems he was right all along. Multiple Superstars are now simultaneously looking to take away The Ring General’s Intercontinental Title. This led to Raw GM Adam Pearce to announce a six-man Gauntlet match for Raw next week to determine Gunther’s WrestleMania XL challenger.
