WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has achieved almost everything that can be done in WWE. During his run in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era, Angle was the top face in the company and had a huge fan following everywhere he went. However, due to multiple problems, Angle had to leave Vince McMahon’s company in 2006. In retrospect, Angle believes that if he had stayed, he would have become the Greatest Of All Time.
While talking on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist was answering fan questions. A fan asked, If Kurt had a chance to go back in time and do one thing differently, what would that be? To which Angle had an interesting answer. Angle clarifies initially that he loved his time in TNA and that the 11 years he spent there were some of the best times of his career.
Angle said, “One thing I would love to change is I wish I didn’t get injured so much because that’s what caused my painkiller problem but if I wouldn’t have left the WWE and I would have wrestled there 20 straight years, I really believe to this day I’d be the greatest of all time.”
However, he knew he had to end his career where he started in 1999. Looking back, if Angle had to change one thing, he would not have gotten so many injuries during his time in the WWE. The incidents led to his problems with the painkillers, which led to his departure from the company. The former WWE Champion said that if not for the painkiller problem, he would have become the Greatest Of All Time.
Despite the problems Angle went through during his career, fans still considered him to be one of the most gifted technicians in the ring. Only superstars like Bret Hart, Owen Hart, and Bryan Danielson are talked about in comparison to the Hall of Famer for their in-ring skills in WWE.
Kurt Angle believes WWE should push Baron Corbin harder

In 2019, Kurt Angle faced Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in his last match ever in a squared ring. With his retirement, fans were furious with WWE, saying that Corbin was not the right person to honor a career like Angle’s. Fans also said that WWE did not capitalize on Corbin’s victory. This was because he still did not manage to create any impact in the coming months.
It was rumored that Kurt Angle had some heat with Baron Corbin in 2019. However, the legend made it clear, saying that Baron Corbin was not his first choice to retire him. However, he never had any heat with Corbin. He also praised Corbin, saying that WWE is not using him to the fullest. Angle also said that WWE did nothing with him after Corbin retired him in 2019.
Angle also believes that bringing back the Lone Wolf gimmick can benefit the former King of the Ring. Baron Corbin is currently in NXT as he faces another Olympic medalist, Gable Steveson. The two ended their match in a double countout at The Great American Bash.
