WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner has been facing consequences for his actions since April. During the WrestleCon event during WrestleMania weekend, Steiner was accused of using transphobic slurs against Impact Wrestler Giselle Shaw. He might have affected his chances of working with WWE shortly.

Impact Wrestling star Gisele Shaw, who is a transgender wrestler, revealed on Twitter about the incident. During the WrestleCon event, she should hear insulting remarks from across the hall. She was later surprised to find out that the WWE Hall of Famer was making the comments.

Interestingly, Steiner’s son, Bron Breakker, has been one of the top stars in NXT as of late. Breakker cleared the doubts about his position in the situation, saying that he disagrees with his father’s statements and should not be painted in the same light. Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select reported the latest updates about the situation. He revealed that the remarks have not affected Breaker or his position in the company.

However, they have closed the door for Rick Steiner to return to the company anytime soon. WWE is not interested in working with Steiner soon due to his comments. His father’s actions have not affected Breakker, as he recently fought Seth Rollins for the Heavyweight Championship on NXT. He continues to be a dominant heel on NXT regularly.

Several legends and current wrestlers from the industry have come out in support of Shaw. Legends like Kevin Nash, Chris Jericho, and Rick Morton have criticized Steiner for his conduct. Impact Wrestling also showed their support for their superstar, as revealed in Shaw’s message.

Soon after the issue was addressed by Gisele Shaw, the wrestling community came together to call Steiner out for his actions. The incident took place at the annual WrestleCon convention. It is an extravagant affair for wrestling fans on the weekend of WrestleMania. Fans get to meet several legends and interact with multiple veterans from the industry.

After the incident, WrestleCon released its response to the matter. “WrestleCon regrets the events that took place at yesterday’s convention and apologizes to Gisele Shaw.” They added, “The issue has been addressed and we hope the remainder of the convention can be a positive experience for all.”

Rick Steiner was also banned from the convention for life. He has not made any public statements since the incident. Steiner has also not made any public appearances since then, as the matter continues to go unaddressed by the Hall of Famer.
