Happy Corbin has been impressive since his WWE debut, He has been the winner of the 2017 Money in the Bank and is a 1-time United States Champion. Corbin has also won the King of the ring tournament in 2019. The WWE Universe has appreciated Corbin’s in ring ability and his Heel persona. Happy Corbin is also known to be one of the three wrestlers to have failed in cashing in the Money in the Bank contract. Corbin had cashed in his contract against the then WWE Champion Jinder Mahal but failed to win it.

Happy Corbin was signed to WWE in 2012 and made his in-ring debut on NXT in October the same year, he worked as a jobber for two years and then debuted with a new gimmick on NXT in 2014. He wrestled on NXT until 2016 and then made his main roster debut in 2016. Thereafter he has pursued the WWE Championship on many occasions such as fighting against the then Champions Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Jinder Mahal. Happy Corbin also defeated WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 35.

Happy Corbin began his feud with Pat McAfee on June 17 edition of SmackDown, when he was defeated by Madcap Moss in a last laugh match. After the match, Corbin accused McAfee of making fun of him while commentating and warned him to be cautious while speaking about him. McAfee ignored what Corbin was saying and made the audience laugh at him.

The following week on SmackDown Pat McAfee stood on the Commentator’s table and addressed the WWE Universe by saying that he is grateful to be a part of the WWE and that he would love to kick Corbin’s teeth down his throat at SummerSlam, thereby challenging Happy Corbin for a bout at SummerSlam.

Corbin accepted the challenge when he came out of nowhere during the Money in the Bank Live event and attacked McAfee brutally and accepted his challenge for a bout at SummerSlam.

On the latest edition of Smack Down, Pat McAfee wasn’t present on the show as he had participated in a celebrity golf tournament. Corey Graves filled his space and was also joined by Happy Corbin for sometime during the show. Both Corbin and Graves made fun of the Pat’s dance moves during Shinsuke Nakamura’s entrance. Shinsuke fought against Ludwig Kaiser and won the match via pinfall. Happy Corbin also made fun of McAfee in regard to his participation in the Golf Tournament, saying that Pat is currently ranked 65th in the tournament.

Happy Corbin and Pat McAfee will face each other at SummerSlam on July 30th at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee.
