Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar in WWE

Brock Lesnar lost his first ever last man standing match at the SummerSlam against Roman Reigns. He was buried under the pile of debris from broken announcer table and steel steps, while Roman stood up on the pile to win the match. This was Roman’s second win over Brock Lesnar this year and overall 5th win over the beast incarnate, with the record between them standing 5-3. Brock Lesnar has had success early this year by winning the Royal Rumble and winning the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber.

There are numerous ideas about Brock Lesnar’s future, with some members of the WWE Universe arguing that there should be one more match between the beast and the tribal chief, albeit most of them don’t want it since it’s become a snooze fest for them. It has also been rumored that, having done everything in WWE, the beast may hang up his boots and retire from pro wrestling, but this is doubtful because WWE will almost certainly want to offer him a final match.

According to one theory, Lesnar may return to the UFC since he is one of the greatest names in the UFC and can improve the buy rate of any event, he is a part of, as well as he is still in good enough form to fight a match.

Mark Henry recently disclosed to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda that he challenged Brock Lesnar to a shoot wrestling battle during Lesnar’s time in OVW. Brock Lesnar, according to Mark, attacked him from approximately six feet away and went for his ankle before putting both his hands behind his ankles and his shoulder in his knee and extending his knee. Henry stated that he was out of action for six to seven weeks following the incident.

Mark Henry then recounted his interaction with Brock, stating that he had fallen on the ground and that Brock had asked him if he was hurt, to which Henry answered that he couldn’t move. Brock Lesnar kept stating he would be fired after what he had done to him, but Henry claimed he convinced him that he wouldn’t be fired, and they both laughed about it later. Mark Henry ended by describing Brock Lesnar as a dangerous individual.

Paul Heyman recently discussed the F-5 he received from the beast during Lesnar’s encounter with Roman Reigns at the SummerSlam on The Ringer’s Mackmania Podcast. Heyman claimed that in order to demonstrate the audience his respect for Roman reigns, he had no option but to stop Lesnar from approaching his tribal chief. If doing so required him to stand before the beast, he was prepared to do it. Heyman claimed that it was the greatest honor of his career to assist his tribal chief when he needed it and that doing so required self-sacrifice.

“He was coming for my Tribal Chief and my Tribal Chief was in trouble. There comes a moment in the life of every acknowledger of the Tribal Chief, where you are called to task to put your worship of the greatest of all time, Roman Reigns, out in front of the public. And if that means standing in front of Brock Lesnar, then so be it. There was no other choice. My Tribal Chief needed me and I never felt more wanted or needed or loved at that moment, for I sacrificed myself for my Tribal Chief and it was the greatest honor of my career to do so.”

Drew McIntyre will face Roman Reigns at the Clash of Castle Live event in September. McIntyre had qualified to face the WWE Undisputed Champion on July 29th edition of SmackDown by defeating Sheamus.
