Vince McMahon is recognized as the pioneer of the mainstream wrestling industry. Vince is known for his callous nature which he often displays on screen, but is also known to be that kind of person in real life too. Vince McMahon doesn’t like to push a certain talent unless he considers it his creation. A well known theory is that Vince McMahon won’t push a talent if the crowds cheer him based on his career in some other promotion.
Vince McMahon is currently being investigated in a “Hush money settlement” case, he is said to have paid a female employee a 3 million dollars to keep their affair private. The investigation also revealed about some NDA documents by other women who had levied sexual misconduct allegations on Vince and John Laurinaitis. Vince wrestled his first match in twelve years at wrestlemania 38 against Pat McAfee and won the match with the help of his prodigy Theory.
The Vince McMahon Long Lost Son Storyline happened in 2007
Over the years Vince McMahon has involved himself in some ridiculous storylines such as Dying and resurrecting himself again in 2007, Battle of billionaires match with Donald trump, becoming an ECW Champion, Affair with trish stratus, daddy vs daughter match and many more.
In August 2007, On an edition of RAW, Vince McMahon was notified by Jonathan Coachman of a paternity suit involving an illegitimate child. It was then revealed that his long lost child is a WWE Superstar present on the main roster. McMahon even confronted his family on one of the following editions of RAW, when Mr Kennedy interrupted them and claimed to be his long lost child, However Kennedy was interrupted by a lawyer who in turn claimed that Kennedy was not his illegitimate son.
The Lawyer then revealed Vince’s long lost child to be Hornswoggle, After months of tough love shenanigans towards hornswoggle it was revealed by JBL in february 2008 that hornswoggle was Finlay’s son and not Mr. McMahon’s. It was ultimately revealed that Shane, Stephanie and Linda along with Finlay had devised the fraud.
Back in 2021, On James’ Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Hornswoggle had discussed how he found out he was Vince McMahon’s son. Hornswoggle had said that he was informed about it at 3:30 in the afternoon by Bruce Prichard. He continued and said that he was shocked when Bruce told him that he was going to be the illegitimate son. Hornswoggle talked about how he was instructed by Bruce to hide under the ring and wanted him to change there.
“Bruce Prichard told me at 3:30 that afternoon. He told me at 3:30. He goes, ‘I need your phone,’ and I go, ‘No.’ He says, ‘Please give me your phone, you’re going to like what happens after.’ Okay. I gave him my phone and he goes, ‘You’re the son,’ and I go ‘What?’ He says ‘You’re the son. You’re being revealed tonight as the son. We need to sneak you under the ring right now.’ This was at 3:30 in the afternoon and the show didn’t start till 8. ‘You’re going to hide under there. I’ll bring you your great bag under there, you’ll change under there and you’re off to the races.”
The storyline received unfavorable feedback, with many wondering which wrestler would gain from being involved in it. The storyline lasted four months before concluding at WrestleMania. WWE failed to see that their pointless narrative had no audience.
