WWE will return to India for the Superstar Spectacle on Friday, September 8. The event will showcase several talents, such as Drew McIntyre and John Cena. Moreover, it will also feature Indian superstars such as Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan and Sanga. During an interview on “WWE Now India,” Jinder recently announced the first match for the show.
The Indus Sher (Veer Mahan and Sanga) will challenge the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, for their titles at Superstar Spectacle. Moreover, this will mark their second time competing on the show after winning the main event of the previous edition.
In 2021, the Indus Sher teamed up with Drew McIntyre against Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boyz. Despite being drafted to RAW earlier this year, the faction has made sporadic appearances on weekly television. Furthermore, their last televised bout was three months ago, when they defeated Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander on the Red brand.
Kevin Owens returned from injury on the August 21 episode after being sidelined for a month. Therefore, this is the first advertised title defense for the Tag Team Champions. Previously, John Cena himself had broken the news that he would be competing in the ring at the event. As of this moment, the main event for the night has not been finalized yet.
Will Superstar Spectacle be telecasted on the WWE Network?

Superstar Spectacle looks set to be a blockbuster show for Indian fans. The event will consist of several high-caliber stars in the industry along with superstars of Indian origin. Fans have been curious regarding the broadcast details of the event. Recently, PWInsider shed some light on this.
According to their report, there are currently no plans for the mega-event to be telecasted live. Instead, the promotion plans to have Superstar Spectacle as a live event. Moreover, the show will not be streaming live on the WWE Network or on Peacock.
This week saw two major announcements regarding the spectacle. One of them is the return of 16-time World Champion John Cena, who revealed he will be competing for the first time in India. Furthermore, the country’s own, Indus Sher, will take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the tag titles.
