Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known by the ring name Hulk Hogan, is one of the key figures in the history of pro wrestling. The WWE legend, with his obvious charm and superhero-like demeanor, became synonymous with the term “sports entertainment.” As the adage goes, ‘two sides of the same coin,’ there lies a real-life person behind the electrifying Hogan.

The Immortal One recently appeared on the Insight Podcast with Chris Van Vliet. During the conversation, the Hulkster was asked how he switches between his onscreen gimmick and real-life personality. In his response, the 70-year-old stated, in simple words, that he embodies the Hulk Hogan gimmick when he is out in public areas. However, the portrayal ends the instant he steps into the house.

Hogan appended his answer with the example of a mailman. He noted that when he is out here giving a public interview or sees a mailman outside his house, his mannerisms are akin to the Hulk Hogan character. It does however end as soon as he enters the house. The bandana comes off his bald head and his gimmick is over, said the Immortal One.

Well, it's kind of like to come down here and talk with you. Um, I've got the bandana on my head... but it ends when I walk in the house. When I walk in the house, the bandana comes off my bald head, the Hulk Hogan gimmick is done.

The 70-year-old also name-dropped WWE Hall of Famers Randy Sav*ge and Ric Flair. He claimed that the two men were always playing their respective gimmicks. Furthermore, he revealed that he does not like putting his title and accomplishments on display in the house. The Hulkster believes that business should always be kept separate from real life.
