The Shield will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest factions in WWE history. The trio created many milestones during their time with the company. The Roman Reigns led group stayed undefeated for nearly half an year. From December 2012 to May 2013, they established sheer dominance in 6-man tag matches.
They defeated The Big Show, Randy Orton and Sheamus in their first Wrestlemania appearance, back in 2013. Needless to say, this win was needed to catapult their journey. Once they reached their peak, cracks began to develop between them, and The Authority manipulated Seth Rollins to betray his own brothers. Still after that, these men came up as individual superstars and ruled over the minds of WWE Universe for years.
Wrestling fans still question about the fate of this group, had they existed back in the Attitude Era. Not only just fans, but even Hulk Hogan once came across such question. During an old interview with TMZ Sports, the Hulkster got asked about a contest between The NWO and The Shield, and the eventual outcome of that match.
Savagely replying to that question, the Hulkster wasted no time to assert The NWO’s authority over the modern day faction. He mentioned how his boys, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were the ones who started revolutionizing this business, long ago. Actually, he was right, as people still cherish over the unmatched contributions The New World Order had towards professional wrestling.
Does Hulk Hogan holds any connection with the former leader of The Shield?

Just like Hulk Hogan was the one who took professional wrestling upon himself and made it popular worldwide, Roman Reigns is touching impressive feats today. The Hulkster was company’s first major star and quite efficiently led the baton to sell-out various arenas back then.
As mentioned in that interview with TMZ Sports, Hogan shared history with the Samoans. He wrestled Roman Reigns’ father. You would easily find a picture where Mr. America is holding a baby in his arms, who is none other than the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
It won’t be a fair, had we were supposed to pick one between Hogan and Roman. Both can be termed as the cornerstones of their respective periods. Deep inside himself, Reigns knows what value Hulk Hogan brought to the table. At present, Roman is the unstirred player of this business who’s destined to end up this thing on a high.
