The Fastlane 2023 premium live event exceeded the WWE Universe’s expectations. The show took place in Indianapolis, Indiana, which is home to the Indiana Pacers basketball team. As a result, Tyrese Haliburton was in attendance to watch the event. Moreover, he took part in the post-show press conference, where he questioned the decision of Bayley to interfere in the WWE Women’s Championship match.
One of the marquee bouts of the night saw Iyo Sky successfully defend her WWE Women’s Championship in a triple-threat match involving Charlotte Flair and Asuka. Despite the champion strictly telling her Damage CTRL teammates not to interfere, the Role Model came out to help Sky retain her title. Interestingly, Bayley stumbled upon her words while answering Haliburton.
First, the former Women’s Champion revealed that she used to captain her college basketball team. Furthermore, Bayley revealed that she did what was best for the team at Fastlane. “Nothing was going to stop me from going out there and helping her. Not so much that you needed the help, right?” she said while speaking about Iyo Sky.
At one point, the 34-year-old mistakenly claimed that it doesn’t matter what Iyo says before correcting herself. She struggled to address her reasoning behind interfering in the match. Despite that, both Bayley and Iyo Sky found the entire situation hilarious, as they laughed at the former’s answer. Meanwhile, fans praised Tyrese Haliburton for not withholding from asking the hard-hitting question.

Bayley celebrated the 8-year-anniversary of her historic battle against Mercedes Mone
Without a doubt, Bayley and Mercedes Mone, a.k.a. Sasha Banks, were influential in the “Women’s Revolution” in WWE. The pair’s rivalry in NXT during the summer of 2015 is regarded as one of the greatest in the show’s history. Recently, the Damage CTRL leader reminisced about the iconic Iron Man match against Sasha Banks.
“8 years since the first ever women’s main event on a PPV in @wwe and @wwenxt history. The first ever 30 minute Iron Man match for women. Nothing and nobody can take that away from us, I’m proud as ever 8 years later. I loved this feeling,” Bayley wrote on her Instagram account. Furthermore, she thanked Mercedes Mone for the moment as well.
Currently, the Role Model is feuding with Charlotte Flair on SmackDown. The latter called out Bayley for playing second fiddle to Iyo Sky’s Women’s Championship reign. Meanwhile, Mercedes Mone is recovering from an injury and is likely to make her debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) when she returns.
