This week was a bummer for the fans who were excited to see the Best in the World CM Punk at WrestleMania. However, things didn’t go the way they should, and Punk suffered a torn tricep. After announcing his injury on Raw, CM Punk was spotted backstage with Kairi Sane.

The Women’s Tag Team Champion, Kairi Sane, posted a few pictures of herself on X. In those pictures, one photo shows the Second City Saint. The Pirate Princess clicked a nice selfie with him. It needs to be noted that Punk was backstage in WWE even after his injury, which raises many eyebrows.

CM Punk’s injury has certainly affected the WWE landscape. Fans were disheartened when he announced his time off on Raw. Likewise, the Best in the World was also disheartened, as he had teary eyes during the announcement. However, it seems like Kairi Sane is having fun in the backstage area.

This picture might be before Bayley’s decision on SmackDown. Kairi was involved in the segment where she received a few heavy steel pipe shots from the Role Model. Besides, Punk is wearing the strap, signifying his injured triceps. It was heard that he had his surgery done on Thursday and is heading towards a speedy recovery.

Royal Rumble was the first televised match of CM Punk. After 10 years, he came back to the ring in front of the WWE Universe. With abundant momentum behind him, many fans were rooting for him to win the Royal Rumble match. However, that was not the case, as Cody Rhodes took the road to victory. After a few days, a theory surfaced on the internet that Punk suffered a torn tricep; therefore, WWE called him off to win the Rumble.

However, according to Fightful Select, that was not the case. It has been reported that the American Nightmare was always the planned winner for the Royal Rumble match. Fans were questioning the spot where Punk and the referee were sharing words. Therefore, they concluded that the moment was the time when Punk pitched Cody for a win.

The Second City Saint announced an injury later on Raw. However, a consecutive Royal Rumble win was always on the cards for the American Nightmare. Besides, WWE might have been having some other plans for CM Punk, which were called off due to the torn triceps. Needless to say, Punk will be looking to get back in the ring faster than ever. It is going to be interesting to see how things for the Voice of the Voiceless go from here on out.
