In the world of media, Dwayne Johnson couldn’t avoid being rumoured. Being a world famous celebrity, it wasn’t possible for Dwayne to escape these kinds of rumours. One of his dating rumours that gained a following rapidly was the one with supermodel Irina Shayk.

The high profile dating rumour not just included the global celebrity Dwayne Johnson and supermodel Irina Shayk but also the greatest professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Shayk and Ronaldo dated for a considerable period of time before eventually breaking up in 2015. The couple was highly admired by their fans.

Irina Shayk made her acting debut in 2014 where she featured in Hercules. The movie earned a lot in terms of love and money all across the world. Dwayne Johnson was leading the movie and by the time the shoot was complete, there were rumours that the two superstars were dating.

In one of the interviews, Shayk couldn’t stop showering praises on Dwayne Johnson. “His energy, the way… I look at him, and the way how I see he was acting on set, just made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that I was like, if he can do it, maybe I can do it too,” she said. 

The rumours started fuelling after Shayk’s interview. However, it was only rumoured as none of the two superstars confessed their love. Irina was also asked in a later interview if her then boyfriend Cristiano Ronaldo was jealous of Johnson. To this question, the supermodel had an excellent answer.

She chuckled and said, “I don’t know. You should ask him. This is a good question.” Irina and Ronaldo had been the hot topic for quite a long time. The couple parted ways in 2015. Currently, he is in a relationship with Georgina Rodríguez and the couple has been able to attract the attention of many. 

Dwayne Johnson is now completely dedicated to his film industry. With back to back hits, he has no plans to stop. However, it is highly expected that he will be a part of WrestleMania 39 that is bound to take place on 1st and 2nd of April 2023.

The WWE Universe has been waiting for him for a long time now. The crowd went crazy as he stepped on the NFL field. The businessman cum superstar still continues to rule the hearts of many. Is ‘WrestleMania goes Hollywood’ a tagline strong enough to bring him back to the ring? We’ll have to find out.
