Has WWE ruined Bray Wyatt’s return to cater to the expectations of fans?

WWE released one of the most talented stars in pro-wrestling history, Bray Wyatt back in 2021. After Vince McMahon retired, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon took over major responsibilities in the company. Their rise to the top made fans hopeful about Wyatt’s return to the WWE. Both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon observed what the fans wanted and planned a perfect return for Wyatt.
Above everyone’s expectations, the return became one of the greatest in pro-wrestling history. Bray Wyatt made his much-awaited return to sign off Extreme Rules 2022. With the world talking, the former WWE Champion rose to prominence before making any televised appearances after his return. WWE fascinated fans with the intriguing ‘White Rabbit’ storyline, giving cryptic messages every week.
After a perfect return, fans rallied with Wyatt every week on Friday Night Smackdown. With a fantastic new theme song and a different character, many found interest in the product. However, the return saga is still supposedly not complete. Fans expect the 35-year-old’s return to be accompanied by some other returns as well. With names like Bo Dallas and Eric Rowan on the return radar, fans are waiting for the questions to be answered evolving out of Wyatt’s segments.
Everyone is confused after Wyatt has been involved in numerous cryptic segments since his return. Out of the blue, the former WWE Champion was involved in a storyline with LA Knight a few weeks ago. After crossing paths with LA Knight, an abrupt ending to Wyatt’s cryptic segments leaves things unfinished. However, the question knocking on the door is, what has WWE planned with the confusing segments every week?
LA Knight entered Bray Wyatt’s radar out of nowhere. Seemingly, the rivalry between them is a plan to push some more returns forward. Knight was first seen beaten up on Smackdown, but there were no revelations on who unleashed an attack on him. After coming to consciousness, the former NXT star named the ‘Eater of the Worlds,’ who surprisingly didn’t have any clue of the circumstance.
Bray Wyatt was the center of attraction, since revealed to be the one who attacked LA Knight numerous times on Smackdown. Interestingly, the former WWE Champion repeatedly refused the accusations and was himself in a dilemma about his character. Uncle Howdy has often interrupted Wyatt during his segments, ending him in a disturbing way. However, this won’t be the end of his saga with LA Knight. This was before both men ended up standing face-to-face in the squared circle on the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
The segment featured LA Knight attacking Bray Wyatt when Uncle Howdy came out, multiplying the number of questions for fans. Wyatt laughed while LA Knight unleashed an assault on him, teasing a wierd character for the former WWE Champion. This has fans talking about Wyatt’s future heading into WrestleMania, and the confusing storyline he has been a part of.
WWE’s storyline involving Bray Wyatt has both positive and negative implications
Bray Wyatt’s storyline has confused millions of WWE fans. Reportedly, Wyatt will face LA Knight in a singles match at Royal Rumble 2023. However, Uncle Howdy’s revelation could make things a lot different. After attacks from Bray Wyatt/Uncle Howdy on LA Knight, things seem to end up in the squared circle.
Both men being fantastic in the squared circle makes the rumored match at Royal Rumble 2023 a must-see. However, Uncle Howdy’s involvement in their feud could make things interesting. With a lot of returns due with Wyatt’s storyline, many predict the frightening character of Uncle Howdy to be Bo Dallas under a mask.
If Uncle Howdy turns out to be Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt’s character confusion may come to an end. Fans need WWE to reveal how the former WWE Champion will work. If WWE manages to bring a perfect character out of this storyline, the seeds sown will grow to be a sweet fruit.
However, a confusing and boring storyline may make fans lose interest. This may eventually turn into a roller-coaster, ending up with an underwhelming use of the 35-year-old. With Triple H leading the creative team, the WWE Universe can expect a good storyline leading upto WrestleMania.
