Ronda Rousey didn’t receive the greatest of farewells to her WWE career. She lost an underwhelming MMA rules match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam and bowed out. Even though the stipulation seemed fascinating at first glance, the execution was never there. However, a Raw Superstar, whom they know as Ivy Nile, thinks she can hang in there with Rousey if given a chance. Nile, in a recent interview with Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp, venerated The Rowdy One.

Sapp broached the topic of accruing MMA crossovers in pro wrestling. He then asked Ivy whether that makes her crave a UFC-esque bout inside the squared circle. The Pitbull, who’s had a well-known background in Cross Fit and Jiu Jitsu, felt blown away by the idea. At first, she unveiled herself as a Meisha Tate fan. And of course, Ivy Nile had all the respect in the world for Ronda Rousey as well.

Though Ivy said she’s capable enough of standing toe-to-toe with the former UFC Bantamweight Champion, Nile said she would be better off as an ally with Rousey. Albeit it sounds unreal, the gap is diminutive between UFC and WWE at this point. Both conglomerates are bound as a single entity under the TKO group holdings. And who knows if any UFC name pops up in WWE in the foreseeable future?

Is Meisha Tate still in the UFC? I think the world of her. I love her. I’m a huge fan of Ronda Rousey too. I think I would do pretty well going toe-to-toe, I think we’re better off as allies.

Ronda Rousey proved how a famed UFC name could make it big in WWE. Barring her second run with the Stamford-based promotion, the Olympic Judoka was a linchpin for WWE’s women’s division for quite a while. One has to believe that if it weren’t for her, the women wouldn’t have headlined WrestleMania in 2019.

What has Ronda Rousey done since leaving WWE?

Post her WWE departure, Ronda Rousey has had a few cameos here and there. She made an appearance or two on the independent circuit and Ring of Honor to aid her friend, Marina Shafir. However, it was a one-off thing, as Rousey’s currently happy to spend some quality time with her family.

Also, her second memoir, titled ‘Our Fight’, is not far away from public release. PWInsider reported that the memoir will be published by Hachett Book Group in the spring of this year. While that may account for her exploits in WWE, the fans eagerly await the rollout.

Ronda recently lashed out at her former boss Vince McMahon for heinous allegations against him that clouted WWE. It remains to be seen if she ever gets back to pro wrestling.
