Backstabbing does hurt, and Bayley was on the receiving end this week on SmackDown. She came prepared for an ominous onslaught though and did well to evade a callous annihilation of herself, courtesy of her Damage CTRL sisters. Iyo Sky, one of the two young guns who was brought to the main roster by Bayley, turned on her proverbial mentor last night. And now she has broken silence over her actions.
First, Sky wrote that she doesn’t need Bayley anymore. And then she seemed jubilant after ending her long-term camaraderie with The Role Model. Both Iyo and Bayley will battle it out for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40. Before the ex-Damage CTRL leader was about to make her decision last night, she caught Iyo surreptitiously telling Asuka and Kairi Sane that Bayley’s done.
In the ring, Bayley was blown away by the reaction she got from the live crowd in Alabama. She then cut a promo elucidating Damage CTRL’s role in the major coup she had at the Royal Rumble. Bayley gave props to her girls until she meant business. The former Hugger uttered something in Japanese, and Iyo was as shocked as anyone.

Bayley said she learned that tongue through instances when Sky used to talk smack about her. It was followed by a 3-on-1 assault on Bayley, but she fought back. In the end, Bayley picked up the microphone and said she’d see Iyo Sky at WrestleMania. Shortly after the segment, WWE made the match official. It’s going to be The Role Model’s first singles match at The Showcase of the Immortals.

How Dakota Kai has reacted to Bayley’s tumultuous night on SmackDown?
One thing that was the missing piece of the Damage CTRL puzzle last night was Dakota Kai. She wasn’t on the show but has reacted to her group’s disintegration. Kai posted a heartbreaking emoji on X and tried to process what was going on.
As of late, the fans have seen Dakota nursing a knee injury that she sustained last year. However, it appears she could be back anytime now. And what makes it even more interesting is that Dakota Kai has a side to choose from.
Either she could align herself with Bayley, or maybe it’s her after all who orchestrated the entire betrayal of Bayley. Things are about to get even more interesting, and fans are already daydreaming for more. The Damage CTRL is expected to be the leading women’s saga on the blue brand heading into WrestleMania.
