Taylor Swift is arguably one of the biggest stars in the world. Her association with any company or any form of entertainment will help bring in a lot of new audiences. Therefore, while talking to Women’s Champion Iyo Sky in the press conference following Fastlane, a media personality asked about the possibility of having Swift in WWE for a match at WrestleMania 40.
During a Q&A session with Damage CTRL, Iyo Sky was unexpectedly asked if she would be interested in facing the record-breaking music artist. The question took Sky by surprise by the question, as she had not anticipated it. However, she replied, “Are you cr*zy? But, yeah, of course, if she wants, I’m ready for Taylor Swift.” Therefore, Sky made it clear that she is ready to face Taylor Swift if everything falls into place.
Currently, WrestleMania 40 is six months away, and therefore, it is too soon to predict anything. However, looking at the magnitude of a Mania show, fans will continue to speculate about matches that are possible for the champions. Additionally, Iyo Sky is currently on the run for her life. She is defending her title regularly and has been putting up a spectacular performance.
Therefore, having a match with a superstar like Taylor Swift will elevate Iyo Sky to a different level. Additionally, Taylor Swift has been mentioned multiple times in WWE over the past few years due to her popularity. Therefore, fans would love to see the 33-year-old in a WWE ring.
Rumored plans for Iyo Sky at WrestleMania 40
Despite being six months away from Mania 40, WWE has already started making plans for the matches on the show. Multiple sources at WWE speculate a few matches, including the match for the WWE Women’s Championship for Wrestlemania. Rumors are going around that Iyo Sky is most likely to stay the champion until Mania 40.
Furthermore, Sky most likely defend her title at Mania against her Damage CTRL buddies. A triple threat between Iyo Sky vs. Dakota Kai vs. Bayley is being thrown around for April next year. This would make a lot of sense, as the three women have been very successful since teaming up in August 2022.
Therefore, if the triple threat happen, all three women would be at the top of the roster. Bayley has already won the women’s championship multiple times. On the other hand, this would be the first time Kai would be competing for the top prize in WWE for women.
