The Judgment Day is building up R-Truth for a massive babyface persona right now. His willingness to get included in the heel faction is delivering some hilarious moments this year. However, JD McDonagh has been successful in keeping him away from them with a brawling kick-out this Monday. The Irish star has broken his silence now and has stated strong words for Truth.
While speaking on Raw Talk, JD claimed that Truth never belonged on The Judgment Day. His dramatic kickout from the hands of their whole stable was like therapy for him. McDonagh mentions that this cathartic moment when they laid their hands on Truth should’ve happened a long time ago.
JD recalled that Finn Balor earlier mentioned how people are getting comfortable with stepping up to them. Thus it was high time that they needed to bring back the evil to their group and remind everyone who The Judgment Day really is. A concluding dramatic line by The Irish Ace stated that he prefers the faction to be less funny and make more money.
I had to bring a necessary evil back to the group. I needed to remind everyone who we were. That’s what happened tonight. For the Judgment Day, less funny, more money.JD McDonagh after kicking out R-Truth
The moment that happened on Raw this week saw McDonagh lead the kick-out with an attack behind Truth. After Damian Priest and Balor were successful in defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, the men of The Judgment Day called out R-Truth. The Miz came to his friend’s rescue but their numbers advantage took him down to allow the faction stand tall over them.
Booker T claims R-Truth’s smartness has kept him around WWE for two decades
NXT color commentator Booker T has his views on R-Truth’s consistency. While speaking on his ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast, Booker discussed Truth’s success and current popularity spike due to The Judgment Day storyline. The 52-year-old has been with WWE for nearly two decades and is still relevant to everyone.
The reason for Truth’s success lies in his smarts, which put him on the show. Booker mentions how everybody cannot be a world champion, and that guy has accepted it and knows what his game really is. The Truth has had the same job due to this very reason, and his smartness has kept him going.
Everybody’s not going to be the world champion. It’s just not everybody’s role but R-Truth is a guy that knows the name of this game. He’s smart.Booker T about R-Truth
King Booker stated that if one can be good at what he does, then people will love him and stick around. The same is seen with R-Truth, as his comic character is always fresh, and at this point, he is at his absolute best. His hilarious segments and promos on Raw are paving the way for his reviving career.
