Back in February of this year, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler was in the limelight. He suffered a stroke, which thankfully did no harm to him. Since then, he has been recovering at his residence in Fort Myers, Florida. Well, it now appears like he’s completely fine. That said, Lawler made a surprise appearance on this week’s Monday Night Raw.

The show was held in Jerry’s hometown of Memphis. That said, he made his way out to the arena during a commercial break. After Kevin Owens stunned JD McDonagh in the opening phase of Raw, he and Sami Zayn brought Lawler out. Once The King emerged in front of the fans, he was rocking his brand-new look. Apparently, the 73-year-old let his beard grow while he was at home.

The legendary commentator waved and greeted his own people in Tennessee before heading back to the gorilla position with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Needless to say, it was a wholesome moment for Jerry as well as his supporters in town. Lawler’s wrestling journey dates way back to the 1970s. Before arriving on the scene in WWE, he had already traveled across promotions to make a name for himself.

He spent most of his time in WWE as a color commentator. Although in pieces, he has had multiple stints with the Stamford-based promotion, less as a wrestler and more like a voice of their product. Undoubtedly, he’ll go down as one of the most influential figures in pro wrestling. On March 19, 2022, he had a match against Scott Steiner at the USA Pro 29th Anniversary show in Florida.

Sadly, Jerry Lawler’s cardiovascular history isn’t great. He has fallen victim to numerous strokes during the course of his career. An infamous night that sent shivers down everyone’s spine was February 12, 2010. Everything was going as usual until Lawler, who was sitting alongside Michael Cole on the commentary, started snoring.

Taking quick notice of Jerry’s condition, Cole screamed for a doctor at ringside. Thankfully, Dr. Sampson was there. The medical personnel quickly escorted the Hall of Famer to the backstage area. People close to the situation described Lawler as being clinically dead for about 20 minutes.

However, Jerry miraculously survived the attack and even made a complete recovery three months after the incident. No doubt, the WWE Hall of Famer escaped a nightmare. However, that night scared everyone who was involved.
