“She’s got to stay Babyface for long”- Wrestling legend worried over lack of opponents for Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey won the Smackdown Women's Championship in an "I quit" match.

At Wrestlemania Backlash, Ronda Rousey underwent a brutal war in a pursuit to successfully capture the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. With Charlotte being officially out of competition for an undisclosed amount of time period, the biggest question that arises through is now who’ll step up next to the Baddest women on the planet?

Well, if we give a look on the current Smackdown women’s roster and try to find a worthy credible opponent for Ronda Rousey, our efforts will go in vain as we’ll get nothing relevant and that will lead us to scratch our heads off shortly after. Cause there’s genuinely not even a single women there with a considerable amount of momentum or some sort of challenging power right now.

We got Aliyah who’s not seen on TV that frequently, then we have Sasha Banks and Naomi who are tied up in a tag team as champions and same goes for Shayna Baszler and Natalya too. Former Wrestling manager Jim Cornette also talked about the same worrysome topic on his Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru podcast and said the following,

“I don’t know any match you could build in the next three months with Ronda and anybody that would mean as much as some type of big score-settler when Charlotte comes back from her broken arm, so she’s got to stay babyface for so long. Maybe Ronda just doesn’t wrestle a lot and that probably wouldn’t hurt things either.”

He expressed the same concern about the heavy shortage of legit challengers for Ronda Rousey on Smackdown and said there wouldn’t be any significant program for her until Charlotte returns to take the due revenge over Rousey.

Former WWE writer says Bayley should return to challenge Ronda Rousey next!

Bayley
Bayley has been out for almost an year due to injury.

The one women who has all of the required checkboxes to challenge for the Smackdown Women’s Title immediately is the former women’s champion Bayley, who has been missing a better part of WWE programming for almost a year now. Although teasing multiple times on Twitter, she’s yet to return on TV. Several reports have suggested that she’s ready to go as her injury is healed.

Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide has also said the exact same thing,

“I think it’s also the possibility of returning Bayley, who’s been kind of like sitting in the sideline for a while and she’s the one person out of the four horsewomen who haven’t really got to touch Ronda yet, so I think the fact that she has gotten through Sasha, Charlotte and Becky, not really Becky so far, but I think she has got to build something great with Bayley,”

A returning Bayley Vs. Ronda Rousey feud is everything what the Smackdown brand desperately needs right now. Especially after knowing the fact that Roman Reigns might play a part-timing role moving forward in WWE, it is almost necessary for this major feud to kickstart soon enough.
