John Cena has surely been a Hollywood guy from the past few years. After having 2017-18 as the final phases as a full-time WWE superstar, Cena had different aspirations for himself. Once he decided to completely shift his focus reciting stories in front of cameras, his wrestling fanbase gained nothing but disappointment.
He’s now set for another upcoming project per Hollywood Reporter which will be directed by Ilya Naishuller. The latter is the exact name who gave birth to surprise hit, Nobody. 16-time World Champion John Cena, will be there alongside The Wire and Luther actor, Idris Alba. They are two of the biggest players in their respective genres.
At the moment, no information regarding the film plot is known. Ilya will be heading this comedy action movie, the initiative for which he took up during a Zoom presentation meet back in October 2020. About Alba, he’s been nominated four times for the Golden Globe Award for best actor. A step further, the number increased to five for a Lifetime Emmy Award nomination.
John Cena is a handpicked opponent for Austin Theory

Earlier this year, WWE celebrated the 20 year Anniversary of John Cena. The host venue was a legit sold-out for the glamorous occasion and everyone was just waiting for their icon to show up. However, there was some added expectations from him apart being only an appearance. The WWE Universe was expecting someone to confront Cena during his promo to setup a match.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and Cena delivered an emotional address to everyone out there and those watching around the world. The Franchise Player genuinely thanked his fans for showing unconditional love and support towards him. Despite the fact that we got nothing fruitful out of John Cena’s Raw appearance, there is nothing to be sad about.
Mr. Money in the Bank Austin Theory was already locked in as former’s next opponent whenever Cena finds some time. The only concern now is given that Vince McMahon is gone and Theory hasn’t been the same ever since, could this be just an indication about his declining status or we are still getting Theory against Cena in future. We’ll have to wait and see what unfolds in coming months.
