With Fastlane around the corner, the storylines on the main roster have started to shift gears. This week’s episode of SmackDown was full of exciting segments. After the show went off air John Cena issued an open challenge to NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio who graciously accepted it.

Dominik is a part of Monday Night Raw but he has made constant appearances in the Blue Brand. Immediately after SmackDown went off air Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day showed up to battle John Cena. He insisted that the 46-year-old must fight a real champion and accepted his open challenge.

Dominik Mysterio has had quite some history with John Cena. The recently celebrated return of Cena did not sit well with Dom as he took to X to share his opinion. He shared a GIF which said, “Who gives a sh*t”. Therefore, the two finally battled it out this week in a dark match which the fans loved. Watch the video here.

Dominik Mysterio is currently the most hated superstar in the Stamford-based promotion. Rhea Ripley’s Latino Heat recently celebrated his first anniversary after aligning with The Judgment Day. Dominik won the NXT North American Championship when he defeated Wes Lee with the help of his Judgment Day members.

This victory put an end to the historic title reign of Wes Lee as the NXT North American Champion. The 26-year-old defended his championship on Monday Night Raw this week against Dragon Lee. He will face Trick Williams at NXT’s No Mercy Premium Live Event tomorrow.

John Cena will team up with LA Knight to face The Bloodline in Fastlane

John Cena has been involved in a major feud against the members of The Bloodline since his return. The 16-time-world champion proposed to face the faction with the help of AJ Styles last week. Unfortunately, the Cenation Leader was left alone to defend himself when Solo and Jimmy attacked The Phenomenal One backstage.

John entered this week’s SmackDown without a partner. He ended up going 2-on-1 against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. In the meantime, The Megastar made his shocking return and came to the aid of Mr. Hustle Loyalty Respect. It was reported last week that LA Knight was removed from last week’s SmackDown due to Covid-19 complications.

WWE hyped up the alliance between John Cena and the 40-year-old by posting a tweet on X that said, “Does John Cena have a partner? YEAH! IT’S HAPPENING! @JohnCena & @RealLAKnight vs. #TheBloodline at #WWEFastlane! “

The WWE Universe is thrilled to see the Greatest of All Time team up with The Megastar. A victory over The Bloodline will help Knight make a move up the cards and will push him into the championship scene. Moreover, teaming up with John Cena will be one of the highlights of his career
