Next week’s SmackDown has already been taped, as WWE will travel to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. In the go-home edition of the show, John Cena met Solo Sikoa and gave him quite the hammering. Trying to get under the skin of Sikoa, John affirmed that The Enforcer got into WWE just because of his cousin.
Moreover, the 16-time World Champion didn’t buy any of Solo’s accolades while calling him a bargain basement Taz rip-off. In the process, Cena threw a shade at the current AEW commentator, Taz. He made a subtle reference of the rival promotion’s personality which surprised the WWE Universe.

We all know the only reason you got a job here is because of your cousin. We all see you walking around thinking you’re some big badass enforcer, but you’re nothing but a bargain basement Taz rip-off.John Cena
At Crown Jewel, John Cena will arguably have the most challenging match of his WWE career. He’ll go against Solo Sikoa and look to overcome his losing streak of over 2,000 days. This week on SmackDown, The Enforcer annihilated Cena following the latter’s emotional address to the WWE Universe. John argued that he’s in a must-win situation in Riyadh, or else he might lose the support and respect of his fans.
Apart from his interaction with The Street Champion, John got his flowers from Paul Heyman. The Wise Man called Cena the greatest talker in WWE history. Heyman emphasized John’s oratory acumen and how he’s got an eternal bond with the fans. However, Paul soon meant business and cursed The Greatest of All Time for pissing off The Bloodline.
It was not long before Solo rolled inside the ring from behind and mauled his opponent. As it stands, the time for talking is over. Cena is set to go one-on-one with Sikoa on November 4th. It’s going to be an emotional night for The Cenation Leader and his fans. He’s got to get back to winning ways. It’s not going to be an easy task to put away the Bloodline’s Enforcer at all.
Is John Cena leaving WWE after Crown Jewel?
As of now, John Cena has drained up all his advertised dates with WWE. The Crown Jewel 2023 looks to be his final commitment at this point. However, a few days ago, Cena teased extending his run with the Stamford-based promotion. He posted a scene from The Wolf of Wall Street where Jordan Belfort said he’s not leaving.

Similarly, John tried to convey this message to his wrestling fans, it appears. There’s not an official update from WWE as to whether Cena’s staying or not. The SAG-AFTRA strike is still holding its fort. It will be interesting to see what unfolds after Crown Jewel.
Though Deadline Hollywood is reporting that SAG-AFTRA and studio CEOs plan to hold agreement talks this weekend, it’s going to take a while. There’s much vagueness looming over the movie bubble, and not much can be done at ease.
