The wrestling world was more than happy when it was announced that John Cena would be returning to WWE on his 20th anniversary on June 27th. Now, rumors are coming out that John Cena would be facing a very young and prominent star in Theory who has been on a roll right now. Here’s what rumors say according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“Cena returns on the 6/27 Raw show in Laredo, TX. While this has not been confirmed to us by the company, the talk in wrestling is that it will be Cena vs. Theory at SummerSlam with the idea that working with Cena will bring Theory up to a higher level.” – WON

John Cena’s reported opponent at SummerSlam has been on a roll right now
Theory has been very impressive with his United States Championship run right now. The young star has been a top star on Monday Night Raw and was confronted by Mustafa Ali on an episode of the red brand. Though things didn’t seem very intense between the two, a United States Championship match was witnessed at Hell in a Cell.
The match saw Theory defeat Mustafa Ali clean and bring the United States Championship with him from the Hell in a Cell premium live event. The young star recently confronted the Almighty Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw and brought him some though words that got the former WWE Champion furious and the two could be in a short term feud very soon. A feud with John Cena could be a huge boost for his career as well.
