“I always go back to that”; John Cena up for a blockbuster WWE return in 2022?

Every time John Cena has returned, it has blown up the viewership charts for the WWE. The 16-time world champion last returned at the Money in the Bank premium live event and the arena roared with “let’s go Cena” and “Cena Sucks” chants. WWE confirmed that his match at Summerslam increased the ticket sales by 50% and thus that month of summer was dubbed by the WWE as the “Summer of Cena”.

It obviously is safe to say that whenever John Cena returns to the WWE, it will be a big money draw for the company and there have been rumors that the ‘Cenation leader’ will be returning to the WWE at the end of this summer, which John Has hinted at a return to the WWE.

Talking on Back-stage’s ‘In the Envelope Podcast’ John opened about the time when he will be returning to the WWE:

“I got the 10000 hours over WWE. I always go back to that when they say, hey, this is your opponent. This is the amount of time you have, and if they don’t give me a story, the first thing I do is wrap my brain, and I don’t care at all about the physical choreography. I try to answer the question. Why are we fighting and the answer to be the best is not acceptable?”

He goes on to add that if he read the script and gets excited, he will be back:

“So, if I read a script and I’m throttled by it and, I just, I love the story and I feel as if I can contribute to the story. It also doesn’t matter what they want me for, they could be a small part walk across the screen and say hi or it could be you know, you with your name on the marquee”.

While his last feud was a blockbuster, it remains to be seen what John Cena can offer top the WWE this time.

John Cena vs Theory?

Every time John Cena has returned, it has blown up the viewership charts for the WWE.

If and only if John Cena returns, it can be a huge opportunity for the WWE to build their next star, someone who has the skills to move the company on his shoulders, and maybe WWE is now building Theory for the same. There is already a storyline in place for the same considering their banter and if John Cena makes an appearance and confronts Theory for the championship, it can majorly help WWE in building Vince McMahon’s chosen one.
