John Cena is one of the most popular WWE Superstars of all time. Cena is still regarded as the face of WWE, even though he isn’t a regular performer of the company now. John Cena is currently busy in his movie career and only makes sporadic appearances in the company, his last WWE match was against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021. He recently appeared on RAW to celebrate his 20th anniversary and said that he wasn’t done with wrestling yet. Early June, there were speculations that Cena would be facing Theory at the SummerSlam but with Theory facing Lashley and Cena busy in his movie career it is unlikely to happen as of now.
John Cena has been regarded by many wrestling legends and wrestling pundits as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, with Hulk Hogan once remarked that John Cena has the wrestling blood and is so gracious towards the Make-A-Wish children that he will spend the entire day with them even when he is exhausted and hasn’t slept. Hogan had said his contribution towards the business fails in comparison to that of John Cena’s and in his opinion, Cena is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

John Cena had revealed his favorite football team
Back in 2017, While speaking with Mark Lawrenson, John Cena had revealed that Tottenham is his favorite football team. He said that when in London for a WWE event in 2008, he got the opportunity to visit a football stadium and had the good fortune to step onto the field. Because it was in the middle of the city and resembled an old baseball stadium, Cena said he loved it. John Cena discussed the Tottenham football club and claimed that it is a working man’s team. He also mentioned that meeting Juande Ramos, the team’s former coach, was a wonderful experience.
John Cena declared Cristiano Ronaldo to be his favorite football player in the same interview when asked about it. According to John Cena, if he were to discuss any renowned football player, he would begin and conclude with Cristiano Ronaldo.
“If I had to name some famous footballers, I would start and end with Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s it.”
John Cena was also asked about a football position he would love to play at, to which he had jokingly replied that he would rather sit on the bench as he wouldn’t be able to run for that long. He said that he would make a great goalkeeper, while also adding that his perfect role would be that of an inspirational coach of the team.
