Crown Jewel is just around the corner, and the matchcard has started to shape up. WWE recently announced that John Cena is set to face Solo Sikoa at the upcoming premium live event in Saudi Arabia. Cena will go one-on-one with Sikoa for the first time, as the Cenation Leader has been at loggerheads with The Bloodline for quite some time.
John Cena has recently been in a program with the heel faction on SmackDown. Since his return last month to the blue brand, he has been constantly reminded by Jimmy Uso that his time is up. The 16-time World Champion teamed up with LA Knight to take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at Fastlane. It feels like Cena’s match at the October 7 spectacle was just a trailer for what is to come.
The Cenation Leader will now take on The Enforce at the upcoming PLE. It is a match that was inevitable following the turmoil between both both superstars. It will be interesting to see Solo Sikoa go one-on-one against John Cena. As he shares the ring with Cena, fans can’t help but remember Cena’s feud against the late-great Umaga.
The Franchise Player’s last feud with The Bloodline’s leader was in 2021, when he battled Roman Reigns. It concluded in a decisive match at SummerSlam, where Reigns stood tall. The two juggernauts recently confronted each other on the October 13 edition of SmackDown, where the Tribal Chief returned.
On the other hand, Solo Sikoa debuted last year at Clash at the Castle. He gave a decisive blow to Drew McIntyre, which led to him losing against the Tribal Chief. Since then, Solo has been presented as a force to be reckoned with. He has defeated the likes of Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles, Sheamus, and many other big names on the roster.

After a long time, fans are finally seeing John Cena make regular appearances in WWE. Appearing consistently on SmackDown, Cena’s promos range from his gratitude to the WWE Universe to addressing his future with the company. During the previous week’s show, Cena touched on the topic of his possible retirement. It seems like he is retracting his statement now.
Speaking about his retirement, John Cena said that he believes he can still continue. The Franchise Player seemingly indicated that he isn’t going anywhere for now. He expressed his gratitude to the fans for showing unfathomable support, which motivates him to continue performing.
I believe in me. I believe in you. I believe in us. I believe in the beauty and in all this madness. And I believe that I can still go. I believe that I can still bring it. And I believe the time is now to turn the math around.John Cena about his retirement
The Cenation Leader also took to Instagram to post a picture of Leonardo DiCaprio from the 2013 film ‘The Wolf of Wall Street.’ As inferred from the scene, DiCaprio’s character made it clear that he was not retiring. Therefore, Cena seems to have similar thoughts about his retirement as well.
His recent run, which started in the first week of September, saw him in a number of segments. John Cena has also been a part of LA Knight’s feud against The Bloodline. Cena’s physical confrontation has slated him for a match against Solo Sikoa. While fans are excited to see Cena once again in the ring, thoughts about his retirement keep them on the edge of their seats.
