John Cena is coming back to WWE next week. It would mark his first SmackDown appearance this year. However, fans have been wondering what he could possibly do after his return to the show. He’s also scheduled to wrestle at the Superstar Spectacle that will take place on September 8 in India.
According to BWE on X, fans might expect a special tribute to Bray Wyatt from the Cenation Leader on SmackDown. In his personal address to Wyatt’s demise, Cena noted that the 36-year-old always brought out the best in him. Fans still cherish the brilliant rivalry Cena and Wyatt have had over the years in WWE.
Hence, it would be more than fitting for someone like John to return the flowers to Bray. BWE didn’t mention what was actually planned for the tribute. However, it’s expected to be an emotional night once again. Last week on SmackDown, WWE bestowed a perfect homage to Bray Wyatt. Apart from the typical 10-bell salute, LA Knight put his heart out to deliver an outstanding final speech for the man who actually catapulted his career.
If what Knight put forward was something, John Cena might not leave any stone unturned in his own right. BWE also reported that the Bray Wyatt tributes are expected to continue until WWE Payback. Needless to say, Wyatt’s permanent departure has created a void in the wrestling industry. And that’s because there won’t ever be another Brat Wyatt. Fans just have to wait until this Friday to find out what John Cena has up his sleeves.

Grayson Waller has a warning for John Cena ahead of his return

The last time WWE fans saw John Cena was at Money in the Bank. He made the O2 Arena erupt in joy, just when the Hollywood megastar announced that he would try to bring WrestleMania to London. Soon, Grayson Waller interrupted Cena’s ongoing party. The Brash Aussie joked that, if WrestleMania ever goes international, it needs to happen in Australia. Moreover, the Aussie Icon offered a direct invitation to Cena to The Grayson Waller Effect for Mania.
However, John Cena instead rejected the idea and asked Grayson to let him enjoy some time with his friends. Having heard enough, Waller blindsided Cena from behind. However, it was the Arrogant Aussie who ended up eating an Attitude Adjustment. Now, ahead of John Cena’s return, Waller has asked Cena to wipe his feet off before he journeys to SmackDown. It would be interesting to see whether these two interact once again on-air.
