Over the years, fans have seen countless superstars achieve glory in WWE. However, not everyone reflects on the days of struggle that brought them here. John Cena is one such name who loves trips down memory lane. In his recent post on ‘X’, he hilariously recalled his debut against the 54-year-old legend, Kurt Angle.

The 16-time World Champion gave fans a seat in his trip of nostalgia that touched his WWE debut. The year was 2002 when Cena made his first appearance against Kurt Angle on SmackDown. Cena used self-deprecating humor when he talked about his style of dressing and facial expressions.

"Kurt Angle is the man calling out Johnny... There he is in red boots, red tights, and all Kurt Angle berating me for my style. That's the look on my face, the same look when I do bowel movements, so you know I'm serious. There you have it, the debut of Johnny Boots-and-Tights Cena."

Further, Cena talked about his two-word reply, “Ruthless Aggression,” that went on to define an era of WWE. The 46-year-old reflected on how, at the end of the match, he had expressions that marked satisfaction with his debut. Despite his loss to the Olympic gold medalist, Cena knew that he had a good start in WWE.
