In a recent interview, John Cena talks about an accidental meeting with his Suicide Squad colleague Margot Robbie. Cena said it led to him getting a chance to make a cameo in her new movie, Barbie. This was when the WWE superstar was shooting for his latest Fast and Furious movie, Fast X. John Cena shed light on the incident during the interview.

Robbie stars in the new movie with Ryan Gosling, who plays the role of Ken-doll, which is opposite Barbie, played by Margot Robbie. The movie is set to release in theaters on July 21st, which is also the release date for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. On the other hand, Fast X has already been released and is getting a good reception from fans and critics.

While talking on The Today Show, the 46-year-old said that getting cast in the Margot Robbie’s film was a “happy accident.” Cena said he casually ran into Robbie one day while he was shooting for Fast X. Moreover, the Peacemaker star said that he asked the actress about making a cameo in her movie. He also expressed his desire to be featured in the film.

According to John Cena, Fast X and Barbie share a lot of similarities, both movies have a multi-star cast and have a lot of potential to be great movies. Fast X has already hit theaters; this is the 10th movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. The movie is part of a trilogy that will fall under The Fast Saga. It includes some of the most eminent figures in Hollywood.

John Cena had already become an established actor before he joined the franchise. His roles in the Marine, Bubble, Bumblebee, and Peacemaker in the Suicide Squad received prizes from fans and critics. This would be special as Cena was coming off a successful career in the WWE.

The former WWE star joined the Fast Saga in 2021 when he played Jakob Toretto, who is the brother of Vin Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto. He was the estranged brother of Dominik, who returned to seek revenge on his brother. This was the ninth movie in the franchise in 20 years. F9 was the first time that Cena appeared in the series.

The Cenation leader has reprised the role of Jakob in the tenth edition of the movie and is expected to continue the role in the coming movies. It was announced that the franchise is supposed to have two more movies in the coming years. Fans hope to see John Cena in the same role in those movies too.
