Former NXT Champion Karrion Kross has been having a hard time settling on the main roster. After having a lackluster debut match after the call-up, WWE released Kross in 2021. However, when Triple H took over control, Kross was one of the first superstars to return. However, he still could not make an impact. This is evident from the match statistics that are now surfacing.

As the results of a WWE live event were released by @WWEHeadline on X, it appears as though Karrion Kross might have registered his first victory in over six months. Kross defeated Butch at the live event to win his first match in six months. This is not a good sign for a former world champion, as he has shown a lot of potential to be a top star during his time in NXT.

On the main roster, Kross was drafted to SmackDown this year. However, since then, Kross has only had one solid storyline feud with AJ Styles. Kross lost the feud as well, which did not benefit him in any way. Since then, Kross has gotten lost in the shuffle as he makes random appearances on SmackDown. Because of this, Kross is not able to connect with the audience.

Additionally, the last time Karrion Kross wrestled a storyline match on a PLE was at Crown Jewel 2022. He lost a steel cage match against Drew McIntyre at the Saudi show. Therefore, the lack of television time for the former champion has caused a loss of momentum. Fans will have to wait and see what plans WWE management has for Kross shortly.

Karrion Kross wants to be a WWE lifer

Only a few superstars in the history of WWE have been able to say that they have been loyal to WWE their entire careers. Veterans like Randy Orton, The Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels have been with WWE since their very initial days. Therefore, it is a big achievement to be a WWE lifer and not jump ship to other promotions or other fields.

While talking to Chris Van Vliet, Karrion Kross revealed that he also aspires to follow the same path. However, Kross’ path to the position was a little different. Before Kross became a big name in NXT, he had already worked all over the world in promotions like ROH, AAA, Impact, and others. The 38-year-old has also written a book and would like WWE to publish it.

Kross revealed:

This is a bit up to WWE because I would like to have it published through them. Everything that I do, I would like to do through them. I want to be a lifer. I would like to think that it could be published by the end of this year. The book is being reviewed, or has been reviewed. There are just a couple of other moving parts that need to be set in place for it to be published.
