WrestleMania has been a Showcase of Immortals, which delivers some of the biggest matches of the year. Almost a decade ago, The Undertaker‘s legendary streak also used to be part of the show. However, the streak came to an end at WrestleMania 30. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash expressed his views on Undertaker’s streak and opined that Brock Lesnar was not the right man to end it; instead, it should have been the late Bray Wyatt.

On the Kliq This podcast, Nash stated that the streak should not have ever ended in the first place. He supported his statement by saying that it might have worked as a 10-minute attractive package for WrestleMania’s going forward. Moreover, the Hall of Famer added that even if WWE wanted to break the streak, The Eater of the Worlds was the rightful candidate to do it.

That streak, there was no upside to ever doing anything with that, because every WrestleMania you have, going forward, you had a 10-minute package about that streak … that was something that was special, there was no reason to beat Mark. If anybody was going to beat ‘Taker, it should have been Bray.

In fact, The Undertaker has faced Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31. The two stars went toe-to-toe at the Grandest Stage of Them All in a marquee match. Many veterans have stated in the past that they have felt that The Beast Incarnate didn’t need that win at WrestleMania 30. However, an emerging star like Wyatt would have benefited big time from that particular win.

The Undertaker’s streak was a prestigious part of WrestleMania until 2014. In essence, there have been only two superstars who have beaten the Deadman at the Show of Shows: Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. As for Bray Wyatt, he tragically passed away last year, which was a hard-hitting turn of events for the professional wrestling world.
