The WWE and UFC merger under Endeavor will soon be finalized. Recently, it came to light that the current Chief Operating Officer (CCO), Triple H, was removed from the list of Board of Directors. Despite visibly improving the product, he couldn’t find a place on the list. Paul’s longtime Kliq buddy, Kevin Nash, revealed how the legend felt about the entire situation during the Kliq This podcast.
According to the Hall of Famer, Triple H is completely focused on closing the merger as quickly as possible. Furthermore, he detailed their recent conversations. “Whenever we talk, I just know that he wants the merger to be done. That’s the thing, like Let’s get this f*cking thing over with,” stated Nash. He clarified that the 14-time World Champion is definitely not upset regarding the snub.
The former NWO member mentioned that he enjoyed SummerSlam. Moreover, he conveyed the same message to Triple H, who thanked Kevin Nash in reply. It was further revealed that Hunter and Stephanie McMahon’s daughter is about to graduate. Clearly, it seems that the WWE CCO is concentrated on his duties despite not being on the new Board of Directors.
TKO Holdings Group will gain ownership over the combat sports companies soon. The chairman, Vince McMahon, will keep his position alongside President Nick Khan. However, fans are worried as they believe Triple H’s position as CCO is in jeopardy after the merger.
Will WWE-UFC merger lead to mass layoffs?
WWE will soon be merging with the UFC, starting a new TKO Holding Group as well. After months of speculation surrounding the promotion’s future, the deal was announced in April of this year. PWInsider reported on a “sense of doom,” stating that a lot of employees had feared losing their jobs once the merger was completed.
However, they confirmed that it was an exaggerated report after reaching out to their sources. Moreover, it was revealed that things weren’t serious internally. The previous rumor stated that there were high chances of getting fired if an employee wasn’t in direct touch with talent or in a production studio.
Mergers are frequently accompanied by layoffs. But both companies will run as completely separate entities after the Endeavor deal is finalized. The Stamford-based promotion will soon shift its headquarters to a new location.
