Vince McMahon’s retirement came as a shock to many as The Boss announced his retirement recently via micro-blogging site Twitter. McMahon was facing charges of paying handsome money to ex-female employees to maintain their silence on the sexual misconduct allegedly done by Vince. Though Vince denied the allegations and even stepped off from his post temporarily but was still managing the creative part of the company.

But on July 22nd he announced his retirement from the company in all capacities implying that he won’t be involved in any creative decisions as well. The torch was then passed to her daughter Stephanie McMahon as she quickly assumed the post of Chairwoman and Co-CEO with Nick Khan.  Her husband Triple H also became the EVP of Talent Relations and the new Creative Head of the company. The overall reaction to Vince’s retirement was largely perceived as “positive” as the talent was excited to see the new changes in the company.

Kevin Nash recently thanked Vince McMahon on his podcast and accredited him for his success.

And it would not be wrong to say that Summerslam indeed marked the starting of a new era. While the current superstars may be happy, other wrestling legends who know Vince’s legacy were tremendously shocked by the move.  Superstars like Brock Lesnar, and Ric Flair had expressed their displeasure reacting to the announcement. Now, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has paid an emotional ode to Vince McMahon in a recent appearance on his podcast “Kliq This Podcast”.

He shared a personal message filled with gratitude and said- “To Vince McMahon personally, right now I’m sitting in my ocean front podcast studio, and my son and I will drive 1.6 miles down the beach to our ocean front home, and without you believing in me, I would have none of this, I just wanted to personally say thank you and thank you for what you’ve done for our industry.” The two-time Hall of Famer then said he would really like to meet him soon for a drink as he said-

“I don’t know what the f*ck you’re going to do, man, but if you want to drink some f*cking red or white, I’ll pick you up at the Bronco. You just got to fly your private sh*t down to Daytona, and I’ll meet you.” Notably, Kevin Nash has been included in the HOF twice as he got individually inducted in 2015 and then he would be again inducted with fellow wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman as the part of popular faction NWO.
