Kevin Owens faced Solo Sikoa in the main event of this week’s RAW. Following travel issues, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle failed to make it to the live event. Therefore, capitalizing on the opportunity, The Bloodline decided to take down the Prizefighter and hand him a brutal beat down.
However, to everyone’s surprise, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle reached the Climate Pledge Arena during the beatdown and came to the aid of Kevin Owens against the Bloodline. The show closed with the trio fending off the Bloodline as they stood in the ring.
After RAW ended and the cameras stopped rolling on a sweet note, Owens broke the kayfabe and thanked all the members of the WWE Universe wholeheartedly. He thanked all the people in attendance and those watching from home too.
Kevin Owens is one of the most prolific performers in the company. Following the straightforward and trash-talking traits of Owens, fans often compare him with the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Prizefighter is famous for always being in the gimmick. Hence, watching him get emotional and break the character was new for the WWE Universe. After thanking the crowd, he also stated that WrestleMania is a dream stage for everyone in the business.
The Undisputed Tag Champion also talked about how great it felt for him and Sami Zayn to perform at the main event of such an event and how it was a dream come true. It was an absolutely heartwarming moment especially coming from someone like Kevin Owens.
Who can Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn face at Backlash?
During the whole build-up to WrestleMania, it seemed like Zayn and Owens would team up with Cody Rhodes to bring down the Bloodline. However, after what transpired last week as Brock Lesnar lashed The American Nightmare and Riddle came to the aid of Sami, things appear to be different.
As situations currently stand, the possibility of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens teaming up with Matt Riddle to take on The Usos and Solo Sikoa at Backlash PLE is high.
