Kevin Owens is currently away from television after suffering an injury almost a month ago. However, this did not stop him from taking a mini-vacation during the SummerSlam weekend. In a video posted by WWE’s official account, Owens’s visit to the Detroit Zoo was shown to the fans.
The post described it as a “calming” trip for him while in recovery. Furthermore, it stated that it was a way to calm his anger, as he is a zoo enthusiast. Owens has been dealing with short-tempered issues on screen since he got involved in The Bloodline story. Therefore, a tour of one of his favorite places was much-needed for him.
First, the vlog started with the tag team champion revealing that he was excited to be in Detroit for not only the Biggest Party of The Summer but also to visit the zoo. He goes to the aquarium to kick off his adventure. Afterwards, Kevin Owens is seen interacting with a couple of penguins, jokingly offering them his titles. You can check out the video here:

Update on Kevin Owens’ possible return

Kevin Owens’ injury last month led to many speculations surrounding the tag team titles. The division took a major hit as no official update was provided by WWE regarding the belts. Recently, a report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave a major hint on Owens’ future.
According to it, the company will persist in keeping the titles on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Despite the latter’s latest injury scare, there is optimism that the pair’s injuries will heal quickly. This can also mean that the Prizefighter’s return may be nearing, as he may heal completely soon.
Usually, during such situations, the championships are vacated. However, given the current holders’ popularity, officials are willing to wait for them to fully fit. This report led to fans believing that Kevin Owens would make his anticipated comeback in time for the next premium live event, Payback.
