Kevin Owens has carved out a WWE career unlike any other. From his impactful debut against John Cena to his WrestleMania match against Stone Cold, his story is surreal. However, the newest chapter in his story isn’t a glorious one.

Kevin Owens suffered a knee injury during a WWE Live Event match against Austin Theory in Madison, Wisconsin. The exact nature of the injury wasn’t immediately known.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer later provided an update on Owens’ knee injury. He confirmed the injury to be right knee MCL sprain.

Luckily, it is only a sprain and not a tear. This implies Owens would not miss several months of action. Reason being, a knee MCL sprain takes anywhere about 6-12 weeks of recovery.

If we do the math, Owens still has a chance to make a triumphant return in the 2023 Royal Rumble match at the Alamodome.
